While, we'd prefer something with a bonus stat (ideally Bump), these are a decent stopgap while you look for better options. You can get in and out of melee combat quickly with these. If you play your cards right, these are great weapons for ranged players. They don't do a ton of damage, but you can attack quickly. The nanchuk are solid options for players with high agility. They may not be the most deadly weapon in Biomutant, but they're definitely up there as the most rad. That said, it doesn't get much cooler than taking down enemies from afar with these bad boys. Most likely, you'll have a better gun by the time you unlock the shurikens. However, it makes up for that by having a relatively quick fire rate. Of the six, this was the one we used the least however, you might get more use out of it depending on your build.Īnother ranged weapon, but not as deadly as the boomerang. Instead, you want to use it to get in on enemies and then unload with melee attacks. The grabbler does do damage, but it's not suited to be a primary damage source. It's a ranged weapon that pulls you toward whichever enemy you hit with it. Pairing that with the Freeze PSI-Power can make for a deadly combo that keeps enemies away from you. This is because one of it's Wung Fu moves lets you dart into a crowd from afar. The tribe staff is a solid melee option for players that prefer ranged attacking. The Jagni are the dark aura option from the start of the game, so most players will likely have this be their second option. That said, we used the weapon deep into our first playthrough, so it's definitely viable. If you're used to using an automatic rifle, it can be tough to get used to. It does decent damage, but you have to press RT to throw it and then press it again to call it back. The boomerang is an interesting ranged weapon. Picking the Myriad gives you access to their boomerang. You have to either side with the Myriad or the Jagni as part of the main quest. This is one of the first two tribe weapons you'll get your first time through the game. Fortunately, the rewards for getting them all are pretty great. You'll need to take over 20 different outposts and forts.
